On Sunday afternoon, the Entlebucherhaus opened its doors to a vibrant celebration of contemporary art, welcoming visitors into a world where colour, form, and personal expression take centre stage. The exhibition, running from 19 April to 17 May 2026, brings together seven artists whose works reflect the richness and diversity of life itself.

From the moment guests arrived between 2:00 and 5:00 pm, the atmosphere was alive with curiosity and conversation. The exhibition promises—and delivers—an experience that captivates with a veritable explosion of colour and form. Each artist contributes a distinct voice, yet together they create a cohesive dialogue that invites viewers to explore, interpret, and feel.
The participating artists—Edith S. Ambühl, Daniela Blanchi, Jonas Deubelbeiss, Urs Heinrich, Beatrice Inelchen, Ida Wyttenbach, and Liane Winters—are joined by curator and manager Simone Stenger, who has carefully shaped the exhibition into a dynamic and engaging experience. Their collective presence was warmly felt at the opening, setting a welcoming tone that will continue throughout the exhibition period.
Visitors can return throughout the month, as the exhibition is open every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Sundays offer a particularly special opportunity, with some of the artists present to share insights into their creative processes and inspirations.
A highlight of the programme will take place on Sunday, 3 May 2026, at 3:00 pm, when Edith S. Ambühl presents the launch of her book “wir schatten”. This event adds a literary dimension to the exhibition, deepening the connection between visual and written art.
Beyond the artworks themselves, the experience extends into the museum café, where visitors can enjoy coffee, tea, cold drinks, and freshly baked cake—a relaxed setting that encourages reflection and conversation.
All exhibited works are available for purchase, offering collectors and visitors the chance to take home a piece that resonates with them. Purchased artworks remain on display until the exhibition concludes, after which they are conveniently delivered to their new owners.
For groups seeking a more in-depth experience, guided tours can be arranged, providing additional context and engagement with the artworks. The Entlebucherhaus team is available to tailor visits and provide personalised offers.
This exhibition is more than a display—it is an invitation. An invitation to immerse oneself in colour, to discover new perspectives, and to connect with art in a meaningful way. As the doors opened this past Sunday, one thing became clear: the Entlebucherhaus continues to be a space where creativity thrives and visitors are always warmly welcomed.
